My Poetry
Leaves of Fire
The winds stir my soul
as I behold the grace
of a tree in autumn.
The radiance of its
golden fleece
covering the
age old branches.
Filling its limbs
with golden fire,
until its leaves die
and fall to the ground.
Like ghosts reminiscent
of winters past.

Between the
Eternities
Before we are born
we exist in eternity,
waiting for
that magical spark
that ignites us to life.
We then begin our journey,
traveling through time.
Meeting other souls
along the way,
making connections
and sharing our lives.
Until that day
when it all comes to an end.
For some that may be a very short trip
and for others a much longer one,
though in the grand scheme
it's all in a blink of the eye.
Once ended we then exist
in eternity once again.
"From birth to death
we travel between the eternities."

Magnificent falls
creating light mist,
buried deeply
inside the forest land.
Acreage vast
with vegetation grand,
people would think
it by God was kissed.
Things are there
we don't fathom to exist,
marvels of nature
through time they withstand.
Some of them just
hanging on by a strand,
amazingly they all
strive to resist.
They're those who would
cut and clear it all out,
leaving the forest
to wither and die.
Causing the rains
to dry up and drought,
requiring us all
to stand up and shout.
Cannot let it go,
must not say goodbye,
it's something the planet
can't live without.

Forgive me for my sporadic appearances. (((Hugs)))
With my parents ( and ext. family) in town, I've been busy going to the
beach, water-skiing, museums, Taste of Chicago, etc. with them all!
